About Us

Custom Creations by Rissa began as a class project in my Strategic Communication master’s program and soon evolved into a small business. What started as a hobby—creating handmade gifts such as decorative door wreaths and elegant bows for friends and family—quickly grew into a true passion.

When my husband gifted me a Cricut craft cutting machine, I discovered new creative possibilities. I began designing personalized signs on a variety of surfaces including wood, metal, and glass—anywhere vinyl could adhere. However, after experiencing a stroke in October 2019, I lost much of my creative ability. I could no longer craft the beautiful bows and wreaths that had once brought me joy, and for a time, I gave up on creating altogether.

My passion was reignited when I took a class that required building a personal brand. Through that process, I rebranded myself and rediscovered my creativity—this time through designing and selling custom tumblers.
